How to achieve it
There are essentially four key steps organisations need to undertake to achieve national recognition as an Investor in Excellence

1. Commitment
Register your commitment to the programme simply by sending us a letter signed by the head of your organisation. In return we’ll send you a certificate that shows your people and customers that you’ve started on the journey to IiE status.
2. Self assessment/Gap analysis
Where are you now? That’s the first question you’ll be asking – diagnosing your all-round performance, guided by one of our expert facilitators. This quick yet thorough review examines every area of your organisation and helps you develop a robust improvement action plan.
3. Improvement
Time to make it happen! This is the phase when you implement the changes that will drive your organisation towards IiE status. Once again our team are on hand to provide a wide range of support, often via the performance-boosting services highlighted on this site.
4. Assessment and recognition
Once you’ve had the time to implement and embed improvements, you will want to see how good you are against the Standard. If you are using our on-line tool to pull together your information, you simply press a button when you are ready to produce the submission. Then one of our specialist assessors will come and visit your organisation, before recommending whether or not to award you the Standard. If successful you will receive a plaque, certificate and an IiE to enable you to share your success.
